Singles Events
The Singles Group is looking for more activities and outings leaders. If you have a favorite activity (dinner and a movie, playing card games, art gallery openings, riding along the Springwater corridor…) Please consider inviting others to join you by becoming an activities leader.
Also, if you like to do outings (hiking, kayaking cross country skiing…) and are a “certified Sierra Club Outings Leader” or would like to become one you could lead other Singles in outings. For information about these opportunities please contact Nancy Hatch at nancy.hatch@oregon.sierraclub.org.
Sierra Boomers Pub Night
Boomer Pub nights are monthly events for people born between 1946 and 1964. The days/times for these will be reestablished once new leaders take charge, please recheck this site over the next several weeks.
Sierra Boomers Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What are Sierra Boomer Singles?
A: Single people from the baby boomer generation (born between 1946 - 1964).
Q: How will I recognize the group?
A: We'll have a “Sierra Boomers Singles” sign on the table(s).
Q: Who is going to be there?
A: Old acquaintances. Your new best friend. Your soul mate. Come and find out!
Q: How many people are there?
A: It varies greatly, which is what keeps it interesting!
Q: Can you give me directions?
A: Please use Google, MapQuest, or Yahoo Maps.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: You pay for your food, drink, and a mandatory 15% tip. We are on one tab; however, the waiter can split the tab by each order. (Note: Based on past experience, sharing your food and/or drink tab can create a little bit of chaos unless you know the person you're sharing with very well.)
Q: How do you join?
A: If one of your friends would like to join Sierra Boomers, tell them to sign up at this address: Columbia Singles.
